Pappas Grille Charlotte: 'Always fresh. Always homemade. Always family.'

UPDATE: As of March 2011, Pappas Grille is no longer open for business.

Pappas Grille, located at 811 East Trade Street in Uptown Charlotte, sits in the heart of the city near the courthouse and Presbyterian Hospital. The location, the price and the quality make Pappas Grille a popular breakfast and lunch spot for many of the worker’s in Uptown.

The Pappas family opened the restaurant in 2007 with secret recipes for their sauces and a philosophy for tradition and quality. They state on their Web site “Always fresh. Always homemade. Always family.”

Breakfast is served until 11 am, and diners can get eggs made any style — with a side of sausage, bacon, country ham or livermush — for $2.50 to $4.40 depending on the number of eggs and the which side of meat is chosen. Pappas also serves Omelettes and breakfast sandwiches made on a biscuit or bagel for $1.65 to $4.75.

The lunch menu features hot dogs with your choice of toppings, burgers and sandwiches for $1.75 to $4.50. Stuffed baked potatoes are $3.50 to $5.50, and side orders of French Fries and onion rings are $1.35 to $2.65. Pappas Grille’s famous Gyro Bites are two for $1.85 or three for $2.65.

Each day the restaurant also has a daily special, which comes with two veggies and a drink for $6.99. These daily specials range from Meatloaf on Mondays, to Fried Fish on Fridays.

HelloCharlotte Tip: Pappas Grille closes each weekday at 4 pm, and 2 pm on Saturdays. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.
