Just Fresh: Handcrafted Sandwiches and Salads in Five Charlotte Locations

Just Fresh is a café with five locations in Charlotte — and one in Charleston, S.C. — with a belief that eating better and healthier food will lead to living better lives. According to the founders, “Just Fresh aims to be more than a place where people come for good food. We want to be a place that inspires variety, possibility and human potential the moment our customers walk through the door.”

Just Fresh locations each have different opening and closing times, so make sure to head to the Just Fresh Web site to see the hours for each of the five locations at 301 South Tryon St. in the Wells Fargo Atrium; 127 North Tryon St. in the Ivey’s Building; 101 South Tryon St. in the Overstreet Mall; 14136 Rivergate Parkway in the Rivergate Shopping complex; and at 1231-A East Blvd.

All sandwiches and salads are handcrafted at each location and each is made to order. There are six different salads on the Just Fresh menu — for $6 to $8 — including a Raspberry Fields salad with crumbled blue cheese, toasted walnuts and field greens; as well as a Blue Cobb with grilled chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes and applewood smoked bacon.

Just Fresh serves up four different types of quesadillas for $7 to $9, along with a handful of turkey burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches for $5 to $7. 

The bulk of the menu is Just Fresh’s Signature Toasted, Signature Deli, and Classic Deli sandwiches and wraps. There are 15 different sandwich and wrap options including the Godfather, filled with Genoa salami, ham, pepperoni, banana peppers and house vinaigrette on a Ciabatta; or a Bahama Mama wrap filled with chicken, feta cheese, peppers and island jerk sauce. All sandwiches — which come with a choice of fruit, chips or pasta salad — are $6 to $7.

HelloCharlotte Tip: The Rivergate location is open for brunch on weekends from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the East Boulevard location is open for brunch on Sundays only. The brunch menu includes a number of fresh made egg wraps, French toast, pancakes and Eggs Benedict for $5 to $9.
