Bistro La Bon Charlotte: Introducing the City to Creative and Diverse Food

Bistro La Bon Charlotte, located in the hip area of Plaza Midwood, focuses on small plates of creative dishes. The restaurant has one goal according to the Bistro La Bon owners, “To introduce you to food you never knew you wanted so badly.”

The main dishes at Bistro La Bon on the dinner menu range in price from $10 to $25 and are incredibly diverse depending on the season. For instance, Bistro La Bon serves a pan-seared Dorade Royal with a side of chive dill potato pureé and fennel corn cream; a Pappadew honey-glazed Scottish salmon with Le Puy lentils; and an herb-grilled free range chicken with creamed Savoy cabbage, bacon and fingerling potatoes. 

The lunch menu is just as diverse, but features sandwiches like hot smoked salmon and shrimp mousse on cranberry walnut bread and pastas like a house rolled gnocchi. Lunch portions range from $8 to $10.

Although Bistro La Bon has quickly made a name for itself with its creative and diverse lunch and dinner menus, the restaurant is incredibly popular for Sunday brunch. For $14 for adults and $5 for children, Bistro La Bon offers a brunch “smorgasbord” of roasted brisket, Swedish meatballs, eggs, bacon and waffles. Sunday brunch is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
