Best Shopping Malls in Charlotte

Charlotte has a wealth of shopping throughout the city — in retail centers, shopping complexes and corner shops — but the best shopping malls in Charlotte make for some of the best buys around the Queen City region. The best shopping malls in Charlotte are spread out throughout the city, but are not too far from any area of town.
SouthPark Mall
This 1.6-million-square-foot shopping mall has 177 stores, and is the epicenter of the posh South Park area of Charlotte — located five miles south of Uptown at 4400 Sharon Road. The complex is well-known for its number of high-end stores that are found in Las Vegas Casinos and on Fifth Avenue in New York City, such as Tiffany’s & Co., Louis Vuitton and Burberry. The SouthPark Mall also has an Apple Store and several restaurants attached, including The Cheesecake Factory, Maggiano’s Little Italy and San Antonio’s Modern Mexican.
Concord Mills Mall
Just a tad smaller than the SouthPark Mall is the Concord Mills Mall — which is a 1.4-million-square-foot facility located at 8111 Concord Mills Boulevard. This mall is filled with many outlet stores for big brands such as Nike, Adidas and Eddie Bauer, and also has several large anchor stores attached such as Best Buy, Burlington Coat Factory, Dave & Busters and Bass Outdoor World. The Concord Mills Mall also has a 24-screen AMC Movie Theater and a large food court with a carousel in the middle.
Northlake Mall
Located 10-miles north of Uptown at 6801 Northlake Mall Drive, this mall has more than 150 stores and is flanked by four department stores at each entrance, including Dillard’s, Belk, Macy’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods. There is a 14-screen AMC Movie Theater at the Northlake Mall and a full array of clothing retailers such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Forever 21, Brooks Brothers, J. Crew, and Ann Taylor.
Carolina Place
Just off of I-485 at 11024 Carolina Place Parkway in Pineville is Carolina Place, which is very similar to the Northlake Mall, but on other side of town. This mall is 1.3-million-square-feet with anchor stores Dillard’s, Macy’s, Belk, JC Penney, Sears and REI. There are 130 other specialty stores inside the mall.
