For nearly 15 years, Mama Ricotta's has been the Italian restaurant of choice for thousands of Italian food lovers.
Owner Frank Scibelli, raised in the grand tradition of hearty family dinners, dreamed of bringing the Italian dishes he loved to Charlotte residents. Despite growing from a small restaurant to a 200 seat, award-winning establishment, the quality of Mama Ricotta's food and service has remained.
Now, in addition to the restaurant, Mama Ricotta's can also count more than 250 employees and a multi-faceted catering division with a customer list that reads like the Who's Who of Charlotte. Mama Ricotta's serves traditional, authentic Italian dishes in an inviting setting where everyone feels welcome.

Entrees have two prices listed on the menu: Full and family. The family size usually costs only about 50 percent more, but serves two to three people.

I recently went to Mam Ricotta's for lunch with fellow colleagues...it was my first time. The bread prior to luch was OUTSTANDING. I ordered a chicken sandwhich with a salad and a gargonzla dressing (You know your at a nice place when they dont serve ranch dressing). My chicken sandwhich came out with no Salad...no worries because the fries in the dressing were the best ever. I asked the manager could I have desert in lieu of my salad. He told me he was brining me a cupcake...I thought okay my kids will like that. Well this cupcake never made it home. The icing was pure choclate and the cake was choclate cake filled with a white cream. This was simply a piece of heaven! I hated that I shared it with my colleagues and not kept it all to myself. This is one restaurant I will defintely go back to and save room for dessert! Thanks it was the best.

we went here with some friends. it was a great Italian restaurant. my husband is italian and he loved it! we would go back and also reccommend it!

I cannot say enough good things about Mama Ricottas. My girlfriend and I live in South Carolina and drive up to Charlotte once every month or so just to go to this restaurant. Having dined here 20 times since I moved down here I will say its my absolute favorite restaurant in the area. The food is always excellent and the drinks are always great with great service in getting them to you. You never will leave thinking you paid too much... overall it is very reasonably priced with an great atmosphere. We met the owner once and he was very respectful and appreciative. I would recommend Mama Ricotta's to EVERYBODY! Everytime I go back the food is perfect and I really enjoy the rolls and olive oil served before the main course...
