Rising Roll Gourmet: Big and creative sandwiches in Ballantyne
May 9, 2010
Rising Roll Gourmet has become one of the most popular lunch spots for people working in the Ballantyne Corporate Park, and is well worth a visit for one of their giant sandwiches or salads if you’re near Ballatyne Commons.
The restaurant first opened a few stores in Atlanta before franchising out to Charlotte with the Ballantyne Commons location being one of only three other locations in the country outside of Atlanta. The other locations are in Colorado and Texas.
If the popularity of the deli in Charlotte proves anything, there may be a lot more Rising Roll Gourmet’s popping up in other states as well.
The Charlotte location has been serving up great lunch — and now breakfast — since 2007 and feature more than 40 different types of sandwiches on your choice of Boule (a rounded loaf of bread), wrap or croissant. These sandwiches show off the establishment’s creativity with the “Firecracker Roast Beef,” the “Durango Chicken,” or the “Roast Pork Caliento Panini.”
All sandwiches come with a side of pasta salad, coleslaw, or potato salad — which the restaurant claims to make using a recipe that is more than 100-years-old and was named Atlanta’s best potato salad. All sandwiches are $7.19 - $7.59 and salads are $8.29.
Rising Roll Gourmet also features two different soups each day and has a full catering menu.
