Charlotte's Capital Grille is the perfect place to take that special someone for an evening they won't soon forget, or business associates for a pre-proposal dinner that is sure to wow. From the decadent tapestry to the rich carpentry, the low-lighting, soft music and overall ambiance of the Capital Grille is impressive. Wine lovers find the Capital Grille to be nothing short of astounding: more than 5,000 varietals are available.

Start off your Capital Grille experience, you can't miss the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio-- sliced razor-thin, marinated in fresh herbs and served with crisp arugula. Other excellent starter choices include the lobster and crab cakes with dry mustard, red pepper and sweet corn relish and the prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella with ripe tomatoes and fresh basil.

The seared beef tenderloin with butter-poached lobster, bone-in Kona-crusted aged sirloin with caramelized shallot butter, and porcini-rubbed Delmonico cut with 12-year aged balsamic glaze are recommended by the chef for steak lovers. A sliced filet mignon with cippolini onions and wild mushrooms is also available.

Other excellent menu choices include a whole roasted chicken, grilled lamb rib chops, seared citrus-glazed salmon filet with haricots verts, and grilled swordfish with lemon-shallot relish. Whole lobsters up to four pounds are also available with freshly-drawn butter.

Don't forget to save room for some of The Capital Grille's famous desserts. Creme Anglaise with fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries; coconut cream pie with caramel drizzle; vanilla creme brulee and a flourless chocolate espresso cake are all perfect happy endings to the perfect meal.

Reservations and business dress are required at The Capital Grille. To make reservations, call (704) 348-1400.
