Tremont Music Hall: Local, regional and national acts

Jul 25, 2010

Tremont Music Hall holds a special place in the hearts of many in the independent and upcoming music scene. The small music venue — which features two separate stages — has been hosting live music since 1995 and has seen a number of huge musical acts like Green Day and My Chemical Romance perform at the early stages of their careers.

The main stage area has a capacity for 1,000 people and regularly hosts national acts specializing in “modern rock, indie rock, punk, hardcore, metal, ska, roots rock and more.” According to the owner’s of Tremont Music Hall, “You’re never more than 50-feet from the stage … there’s not a bad seat in the house.”

Regional and Local acts tend to perform at the venue’s smaller stage, “The Casbah,” which has a capacity for 325 people.

Tremont Music Hall hosts shows on almost every day of the week, and will most likely always have performances on Thursday through Saturday nights. Tickets for shows usually range between $6 and $15, and purchasing tickets online are usually a few dollars cheaper. The doors typically open at 7 pm or 8 pm and music starts at 8 pm or 9 pm depending on the night. Make sure to visit http://tremontmusichall.com for a full list of shows, prices and times.

HelloCharlotte Tip: Bands can apply to play at the music hall by submitting their Web site or MySpace page to booking@tremontmusichall.com. The owner’s want to make sure bands are willing to promote the shows as the venue does not have a built in crowd. Most sets on are 35 to 40 minutes long.
